About Eléa

I'm 24 and living in Cairns. I graduated from a bachelor in foreign languages, and then a master's degree in marketing and advertising. From 2020 to 2022 I became a private English tutor for students from 8 to 33 years old. I had classes either online or face to face. Just so you know a bit more about me, I lived in the US after high school for one year, which gave me a pretty good English level. I'm now back abroad, in Australia this time, to travel and to discover a new culture. I would say that I'm very patient, calm, supportive, joyful and fun. I'm also used to working with children (from babysitting or tutoring).

About the lesson

My lessons are different from the usual school approach: with me, we'll try to talk in French, whatever the level! I adapt to the student, building confidence through interesting activities such as games, quizzes and discussions between us. My aim is to help my students progress by building their confidence. My lessons are aimed at children, secondary school, high school students and adults. I adapt my teaching methods according to their level and expectations. I don't have a standard lesson plan, but in general I always start by discussing the student's expectations, motivations and fears. Then we start talking in French to establish the theme for the day. I use games, quizzes, role-playing and other activities to help you learn without realizing it! Oral expression and dialogue remain my priority, in order to develop comprehension and oral expression.
