About Alexandra
Having recently graduated from Durham University, I am keen to motivate students with learning languages by sharing my enthusiasm about how fun it can be! Learning languages doesn't have to be a chore, even practicing it in interesting ways by listening to music, watching films, and immersing yourself in the language can help to consolidate it. I bring energy and positivity to my sessions, I am very thorough and I feel extremely fulfilled seeing students progress following my tutoring sessions :)

French and German tutoring: I identify the student's weaknesses by asking them if they need help with specific topics. If they aren't sure, I create interactive ways to test them on all aspects of the exam syllabus, for example through kahoot or quizlet quizzes, and take it from there. Having studied languages for 11 years, I have acquired numerous learning methods which help to ensure that grammar rules are memorable. Having learnt these languages as a foreign language myself, I am familiar with explaining grammar rules comprehensively to non-native speakers, and how they differ from English.
I have tutored children from ages 10-16 before. I helped prepare students for their GCSEs in German, and taught Maths and English to KS3 students.
