About Edouard
Hello, my name is Edouard and I’m French. I’m in my fourth year of an agricultural engineering degree and I’m currently in Canada on a gap year. I’m patient and I want to help students who are struggling as much as possible. I’ve had tuition myself in the past and I know just how valuable it can be. I also know how frustrating and stressful these lessons can be for students. That’s why I try to be as friendly and flexible as possible, while keeping the set objectives in mind. In my spare time, I enjoy horse riding, medieval fencing and lots of other lesser-known sports. Overall, I enjoy interacting with others and teaching, so that I can best help students who are struggling.

Course structure:
- Ask the student to explain what they already know and what they do not know.
- Ask the student to specify what they would like to know, understand, learn or do as homework.
- Go through the course from the beginning to ensure a good understanding of the basics using a question-and-answer format, and to identify any difficulties.
- Revisit the areas of difficulty using more detailed explanations, exercises, diagrams, drawings, videos or ‘role-plays’ to aid understanding of the concept.
- Once the concept has been initially understood, revisit the lesson by moving on to another point, then returning to the previously misunderstood concept to confirm understanding.
- End the session by asking the pupil for their views on what they liked and didn’t like, and, if possible, ask them a few additional questions to check that the concepts they previously struggled with have now been properly understood.
- During subsequent sessions, revisit these previously misunderstood concepts to check that they have been fully grasped.
These courses are aimed at students at the Middle School, High School and beginning Post-secondary Education
