About Yimeng
Hello, I'm Yimeng! I graduated from RMIT University majoring in Interior Design in 2021 and currently pursuing my master's degree. At the same time, due to my love of drawing since childhood, I worked as a freelance illustrator on the Internet for about four years. Over the past few years, I think I have considerable expertise in illustration and comics and have the aesthetic level that a designer should have.

Hi there! This is an entry-level course in Japanese illustration.
Generally speaking, the course will start with character sketches to explain basic animation-style human body knowledge. At the same time, it will be accompanied by in-class drawing demonstrations and drawing practice guidance. The whole course is mainly based on humanoid characters (orcs, machines, and monsters are not the focus of the explanation). After the explanation of character knowledge, there will be courses focusing on illustration composition.
This course is usually a short course of 2-3 hours. The topic explanation part of each class will last for 30-50 minutes. The rest of the time is devoted to demonstrations and in-class exercises and guidance.
This course is mainly for beginners who are interested in Japanese character illustrations. No age limit. This course is more about cultivating interest, The arrangement of in-class exercises is relatively free, except for key exercises, students can freely draw their favorite characters. let's have fun!
