About Layan
Throughout my degree and previous education, I’ve developed a strong understanding of biology, chemistry and other science subjects, as well as the ability to break down complex topics into clear, easy to understand explanations.
I want to tutor because I know how much of a difference having someone patient and encouraging can make when you’re struggling with a subject. My aim is to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.
I’m reliable, approachable and committed to helping each student reach their full potential. Whether you’re looking to improve your understanding, catch up on topics or prepare for exams, I’d love to help!

Lessons should be relaxed, encouraging and tailored to each student. I adapt my teaching style and pace to suit your individual needs, helping you understand difficult topics rather than simply memorising them. I use clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions and exam-style questions to build your confidence and understanding.
Lessons are usually 1 hour (can be adjusted to suit you) and are aimed at KS3 and GCSE students studying Maths and Science. As a fourth-year Veterinary Medicine student, I have a strong science background and understand the challenges students can face when preparing for exams. Whether you need help with a particular topic, want to build your confidence or are preparing for exams, we'll work together to achieve your goals!
