About Lily
I'm currently in my fourth year of a Mathematics and Economics degree at Queensland University of Technology. I have a passion for math and love helping students build their confidence and skills. I graduated from high school in 2021 and I took Math Methods, Specialist, Physics, Business and Study of Religion. I understand the methods often used by teachers from my own experiences in high school; however, with one-on-one teaching, using slightly different approaches and empowering confidence, students grasp concepts more deeply and achieve greater success.

I work with students to determine the methods of teaching that work best for them and always emphasize application of methods to ensure there is a base level understanding. Once this base level is met, I then use methods that are unique to each student to build on understanding and practice methods of solving. My lessons are a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours. From experience I have found anything more than this (unless for senior students) can be mentally taxing on students. I have tutored students from Prep to Grade 12, across all levels (Up to grade 12 specialist mathematics).
