About Lish

As a former Wallington High School for Girls student who scored exceedingly high in the 11+, and passing the Tiffins and Nonsuch 11+. Me being a student who studied for the 11+, I know that most of them expected classes to be paid £50/hour and gave no resources and help tailored for students, seeing this, made me want to make a change about when we talk about the word "tutoring".

About the lesson

I focus on the "student’s perspective." Because I sat the 11+ fairly recently (5 years ago), I don’t just teach the answers—I teach the exam strategy and time-management tricks that helped me score. My lessons are interactive; I use a "See one, Do one, Teach one" approach where I explain a concept, we solve a problem together, and then you explain it back to me to ensure total mastery. I also provide extra resources and practice papers at no additional cost.

I typically recommend 60-90 minute sessions. This allows 10 minutes for a warm-up/vocabulary boost, 40 minutes of core Maths or English focus, and 10-30 minutes for exam-style practice and feedback.

I am a former student of WHSG (Wallington High School for Girls), having successfully navigated the grammar school entry process. As a high-achieving student in Maths and English, I have a deep understanding of the curriculum and a natural ability to explain complex topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way for younger students.

My lessons are specifically designed for Year 4 and Year 5 students preparing for the 11+ Entrance Exams. Whether you are just starting your journey or need a final boost in confidence and technique before the big day, I provide full support tailored to your level.
