About Tuan Minh (Marco)
Hi, I’m Tuan or you can call me Marco — currently a Senior Structural Engineer based in Canberra, and also a former national chess player for Vietnam. I was runner-up in the U16 Vietnam National Championship and represented the country in Southeast Asian competitions. I’ve been playing since I was a kid, and even though I stepped away from professional chess, I still have a strong passion for the game and continue to play casually. I’m now offering beginner chess lessons to help others learn and enjoy the game. Whether it’s kids starting from scratch or adults wanting to pick it up, I focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for chess. I can teach in both English and Vietnamese, depending on what’s most comfortable for the student.
