About Dexter
I am an experienced educator, academic leader, and mentor with over 20 years of experience in higher education. My experience in teaching chemistry, curriculum development, faculty leadership, student mentoring, and academic program development has shaped me into a patient, collaborative, and supportive educator.
I believe that everyone can learn with the right guidance, strategies, and encouragement. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, overcome challenges, and grow.

Chemistry can be challenging, but it can be understood with an open mind. Through my experience teaching different areas of chemistry, conducting laboratory experiments, mentoring research, and supporting students, I have seen that challenges can be overcome with the right approach.
We will use strategies such as breaking complex concepts into smaller steps, connecting chemistry to everyday life, practicing problem-solving, asking questions, and working collaboratively.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes or ask for help. You don’t have to understand everything right away. I am here to help you with that. Together, we can make chemistry more understandable and enjoyable.
