About Sohmer
I am recognized among many inside and outside my school district for the positive impact I have on student achievement. I have received monetary incentives from District Supervisors for my dedication to nontraditional learners and their academic success under my tutelage. I was selected as the 2006 Teacher of the Year by my peers and awarded Outstanding Teacher of the Year by a prestigious community organization. When it comes to teaching and learning, all I do is win - no matter what! Students who have struggled to make gains have excelled with me as their teacher, and high performing students reach even higher levels of success.
