About Julia
I am a former student of the Juan Pedro Esnaola School of Music, where I studied piano, guitar and lyrical singing. Later I leaned towards Indian music including the Sitar among my instruments. I am a singer, instrumentalist and session player in the studio and live. Versatile performer specializing in Neo Soul, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Tango, and Ballads.

As well as learning any other instrument, the voice requires perseverance, discipline, patience and dedication, but unlike the others, it also needs the courage to face the sound that our own body emanates; totally inherent to the being that we inhabit and that sometimes amazes us by being present. Many times I have been consulted with questions such as "Will I ever be able to sing the same as ...?" followed by the name of an artist of interest, and far from wanting to demotivate anyone: My answer will always be no. In the process of our vocal education we should not seek to imitate others: Our goal is not to surpass anyone (other than ourselves): it is to build our own identity.
Contradictorily, the voice came with us, but it takes time to settle : I do not recommend looking for instant solutions when it comes to singing. But if you enjoy the process, sometimes parsimonious, that through small achievements awakens and encourages you to pursue the ideal, then these can definitely be the classes for you. There are various "vocal techniques", that is: There are different methods and proposals when it comes to educating ourselves in healthy use and in the search for a mechanism that allows us to take full advantage of it. The study of phonation is relatively new in Western medicine and we find contradictions between the authors and theories that try to explain it.
The technique that we will use in the classes comes from the "Bel Canto" or "Old Italian Song" and is adapted for use in popular repertoire. Although it is a technique aimed at those who wish to professionalize as singers, it is not limited exclusively to them: It is an excellent tool for those professionals who see their vocality required on a daily basis (such as actresses and actors, teachers, etc ...) or for those who wish to explore their voice whatever the idea that mobilizes them.

Muy buenas clases! Estuve tomando durante todo 2019 y fue realmente un cambio gigantesco en toda mi manera de encarar el canto. No solo aprendí mucho sobre como cantar para que suene mejor, también sobre cómo mantener la salud del instrumento.
La técnica que utiliza me ayudó a recuperar mi voz. Está super atenta a lo que estamos haciendo con nuestras cuerdas vocales y por fin puedo cantar sin quedarme sin voz. Es la mejor!!!
