About Jacquie

I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was a young girl. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2012 with a bachelors degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities PreK-12. I taught for 8 years in a middle school setting where I was also the special education department head.

During my 5th year of teaching, I was named the teacher of the year for my school. I then went on to make it to the top 5 Teacher of the year for my entire county. Throughout my entire teaching career, I have tutored consistently both inside and outside of the school. I resigned from teaching in 2020 after having my 2nd child. Since then, I have tutored students from grades 2-12.

Tutoring allows me to still be fulfilled by helping students who are struggling, while being able to stay home with my children and be there for school drop off and pick up. I would love to help you be successful!

About the lesson

I truly love teaching, and helping students grasp difficult concepts is one of my favorite parts about teaching! My lessons are engaging and broken down into bite-sized and manageable chunks of information. I will adapt the lesson in real time based on your understanding of the materiaL. I LOVE all questions. I will never make you feel silly for asking a question, and can guarantee the more questions you ask the more I will be able to help you! My goal is always for you to walk away from each lesson feeling more confident and comfortable than when the lesson started. I can’t wait to work together to help you reach your goals!
