Former Research biologist with 35 years research experience and publications in several areas of biomedical research. I have experience teaching postgraduate students and school children as young as age 11. My aim is always to cut through the jargon and make lessons fun.

My method is to explain concepts and ideas, to encourage questions and critical thinking. Today facts are easy to look up, but not always easy to understand. Give a starving man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him to catch fish and he can eat and feed his family for life. Give a student a fact and they can score one mark in one exam, teach them the concepts and they can pass any exam.
