About Sarah
Hello! I'm Sarah, a former Ph.D. Philosophy student with a B.A. in Philosophy, summa cum laude. At the undergraduate level, I tutored gen-ed classes in person for three years, assisting with exam preparation. Then during my graduate program, from which I withdrew when I moved to another location, I was a Graduate Teaching Associate, which meant that I tutored undergraduate students in essay writing (both in-person and remotely) and helped them understand the abstract concepts in their philosophy classes. I also graded and provided feedback on papers.

My favorite experience as a tutor has been watching students begin to gain confidence in expressing their thoughts and ideas in written form. One of my favorite ways to achieve this is bringing to their attention the things they are already doing well, then showing them how to sharpen these skills and strengthen weak areas to result in a solid paper.
