About Corban

As your sexual health tutor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our sessions, having served as a peer educator and youth advisor for the NSW Government's PlaySafe program for two years. About the lesson

I have served as a peer educator and youth advisor for the NSW Government's PlaySafe program for about two years. In this role, I have run stalls and surveys assessing young people's knowledge of sexual health, and worked to improve government health services outreach to young people. My lessons are designed for high school students and older, as my previous role had me working within high school and university settings. This inclusive approach allows me to cater to diverse backgrounds and experiences. My methodology is focused on making topics approachable, engaging, and inclusive. As a tutor specialized in sexual health education, I focus on destigmatizing sexual health discussions, ensuring that every student feels respected and empowered in their learning environment. I incorporate interactive activities, such as games, discussions, and popular media, to foster a dynamic and engaging learning atmosphere. My lessons also emphasize LGBTQ+ inclusivity, addressing the unique needs and perspectives of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. By using inclusive language and examples, I create a space where all students can relate to the material. Thus I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where students can express themselves without fear of judgment. Each lesson lasts approximately one hour, and I ensure that each session is structured yet flexible enough to adapt to the students' needs and interests.
