As a tutor, I believe in creating a supportive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment. My approach is tailored to the unique learning style, pace, and goals of each student, focusing on building both subject mastery and long-term academic confidence. Techniques and Methodology I use a blend of techniques depending on the student’s needs: Active learning strategies like questioning, discussion, and problem-solving to deepen understanding. Scaffolded instruction, where complex concepts are broken down into manageable parts. Visual aids and real-life examples to make abstract concepts relatable and easier to understand. Formative assessments, such as mini quizzes and review questions, to track progress and reinforce learning. For exam preparation, I focus on past paper practice, time management, and revision strategies. Typical Lesson Length Most lessons are 60 minutes, which provides ample time for instruction, practice, and feedback. For younger learners or more intensive sessions, I also offer 30- or 90-minute lessons depending on their attention span and learning goals. Qualifications and Experience I am a former medical student and currently study nursing in Singapore. I’ve worked with students from diverse educational backgrounds, helping them achieve higher grades, gain confidence, and develop independent learning skills. Target Students My lessons are suitable for: Primary to secondary school students, ages 7–18 Students preparing for key exams (e.g., PSLE, O Levels, A Levels, IGCSE, IB) Adult learners or international students seeking support in English, Math, or exam skills Whether a student is struggling to keep up, wants to improve their performance, or is aiming for top-tier results, I provide a personalized roadmap to help them succeed
