About Asha
I have been in education for seven years. I double majored in Chinese and Psychology at Dartmouth College. Then, I started teaching at an independent school in Albany, NY. After I discovered my passion for teaching Chinese, I decided to pursue a Master’s of Arts in Teaching Chinese. I completed that degree in 2021 and received my initial NYS teaching license.

My lessons are individualized and always take into account student interests. If you’re a new beginner and need to learn pinyin (the romanization of the Chinese writing system), we can start there. If you’re not interested in reading or writing, but you just want to speak, we can start with conversational basics.
