About Sophia
Originally from Princeton, NJ, I moved to Michigan to attend the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). For four years, I was a Special Education teacher at a high school in Chicago. As a Special Education teacher, I have proven success in using accommodations to best support my students' needs as well as individualizing instruction, which makes me uniquely qualified as a tutor. I stepped away from teaching in 2021 to pursue my Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago, which I earned this past June. I am now pursuing my Ph.D. in Social Work at Boston College.
