About Pierce
I'm currently a student at Saint Joseph's University, studying Finance and Business Intelligence & Analytics. I also have previous experience working as a math tutor during high school. At school, I've worked on research involving data analysis and financial markets, which has helped strengthen my quantitative and problem-solving skills.
I enjoy helping students work through concepts that may seem confusing at first and explaining them in a more manageable way. I'm patient, dependable, and always willing to approach a problem differently if the first explanation doesn't click. My goal is to help students become more confident and comfortable with math, not just memorize how to solve one type of problem.

I try to make math less intimidating by breaking problems into smaller steps and explaining the reasoning behind each step. I worked as a math tutor at Mathnasium in high school, so I have experience helping students learn at different speeds and in different ways.
A typical lesson starts with identifying what topics you are struggling with, then we work through examples together before you try similar problems on your own. I can also help with homework, test preparation, and reviewing class topics.
My goal is not just to help you get the right answer, but to make sure you understand how to get there. I'm happy to adjust the pace of each lesson based on what you need.
