I have been teaching high school English and other subjects for more than 20 years. While earning both my bachelors and masters degrees I also tutored high school and college students. Students that I taught and tutored saw marked improvement in both their performance and their grades.

I like to find out where a student is having particular difficulty and focus as much as possible on that skill area, until the student is comfortable and competent enough in that skill to move on to the next, whether that is basic arithmetic leading to functions or sentence structure leading to coherent paragraphs and essays.
