About Nia
I currently work as a marketing and communications consultant, but have spent time working in the corporate, nonprofit and higher education spaces. I began my career as a journalist, editing and writing for daily newspapers. When I’m not working or spending time with family, you can find me dabbling in songwriting and poetry, and playing a game of tennis.

Whether it’s working through phonetics or coaching through essays and creative writing, my approach is to deliver foundational lessons that allow a student to recall throughout their educational and professional careers.
My expertise as a longtime writer and editor has allowed me to work with novice and experienced writers. My philosophy is that if you learn to write it opens a door of communication in every circumstance. Phonics and grammar are the foundations of not only writing, but vocabulary and context clues that give students the advantage in deciphering the wants and needs in any situation.
