About Lauren
I have a combined 12 years of experience as a university and community college instructor and a tutor at a national tutoring center. I have helped many students of different ages and various backgrounds better their critical thinking and writing skills. I want all of my students to succeed, so I make sure I answer questions and address concerns during each session and allow each individual to work at their own pace. I believe that everyone can express their ideas and thoughts through their writing!

Familiar with the ins and outs of the SAT and the ACT, I can help prospective college students become more proficient in the Reading and Writing sections of the tests. Personalized tutoring sessions focus on reading comprehension, test preparation, and time management.
I can also assist high school students, college freshmen, and adults going back to school better their research and writing skills. Personalized tutoring sessions focus on how to create a college essay in a specific discipline utilizing the writing process: brainstorming, research, thesis development, (pre)writing, and editing/proofreading.
