I taught English Composition at the college level for 9 years. I just recently switched to high school teaching. I have taught students of all ages, and I've never had a student fail for being a poor writer. As long as you are willing to work, you will see improvement.

I teach though providing formulas that students can use to apply to almost any style of writing. These are the same formulas I used as a student. Also, a big part of being a better writer is reading. You need to read to write.
