About Mekaeel Malik
I began coding as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, learning Python in an introductory CS class with no prior experience. Through hard work and dedication, I mastered Python and eventually became a Teaching Assistant in Berkeley's EECS program. As both a student and TA, I realized that many CS classes at Berkeley assume students already have some coding experience and are often designed to weed out students. In turn, I became a senior mentor at an organization called Computer Science Mentors, where I helped students like myself who had no prior coding experience prepare for these classes. Having graduated, my aim is to use my Berkeley resources and knowledge to create an introductory Python class that is accessible and easy to understand for beginners.

This program is designed for individuals with no prior coding experience. It is highly recommended for students or anyone interested in pursuing a career in Computer Science (CS) to gain a foundational understanding of coding.
My goal is to use my Berkeley resources to create a class for coders that is beginner friendly.
The bootcamp consists of three 1.5-hour sessions each week, conducted over Zoom. Each session includes a mini-lecture on the course material, followed by practical questions to reinforce learning. Additional resources and worksheets will be provided to enhance clarity and understanding.
Students will receive personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to their learning pace and needs. The three 1.5 hour sessions each week can be scheduled at times that work best for you.
