Having been in the design and illustration fields for decades, I know my stuff but always strive to keep a fresh perspective and an openness to learning from my students as well. During my time as an art teacher, most of my students took many consecutive art classes and several even stayed on as tutoring students.

As a longtime visual communicator, I have always had one foot in the digital realm and the other in traditional media--a mouse or stylus in one hand and a paintbrush or stick of charcoal in the other.
As a teacher, I provide a warm and inclusive atmosphere in which creativity is nurtured and "mistakes" are an important part of the process. At the same time, I bring decades of expertise in the applications and art techniques I teach.
My approach is to meet you where you're at in terms of skill level and to help you move toward your creative goals. Along the way, we'll revisit the fundamentals of art, color theory, and composition so that all of our co-creations--from simple exercises to detailed renderings-- look great!
