With more than five years of piano teaching experience and a background in Piano Performance with a focus on Pedagogy, I offer lessons that build strong musicianship and artistic understanding. My approach prioritises sight-reading, score study, and expressive interpretation of classical works. I include theory, history, finger exercises, and historical performance insights in my lessons. I enjoy working with students at every stage, from beginners starting their journey to professionals refining advanced repertoire. Lessons are designed to be supportive, adaptive, and inspiring. When I teach piano, I aim to make theory simple, logical, and useful. Every lesson connects theory concepts directly to the instrument so they make sense in practice. We focus on chord progressions, inversions, and harmonic analysis as tools for performance and creativity. By starting with strong fundamentals, students build the confidence to tackle advanced ideas. The Exam Taker benefits from structured lessons designed for clarity and precision. The Classical Performer learns how harmonic awareness enriches interpretation and expression. I keep lessons interactive by combining exercises, repertoire study, and creative exploration. Improvisation and composition are also used to reinforce theory in practice. My teaching is flexible, always tailored to student needs. I believe music should be both disciplined and enjoyable. Students grow into independent musicians who can analyse, interpret, and perform confidently. This approach creates a strong foundation for a lifetime of piano playing and musical growth.
