I have been tutoring and mentoring for over 20 years. During that time I also have done training, podcasting and public speaking and am well-regarded as one who can find what is interesting in subjects others make boring. My undergraduate degree is in history and I have a life-long passion for the stories of history.

My approach to teaching is to place any idea in its larger context. We will explore the "big picture" in order to have something memorable which we can hang the particulars of names and dates on. I find this approach subverts the need for endless repetition and memorization.
