About Amy
Who I am and why I have this perspective:
I am a lifelong educator with two MS degrees—Special Education and N–12 Education—and more than five decades in the field. My earliest work included children and adults with significant developmental and physical differences, which shaped my understanding that there is no single way to learn. That insight has remained at the heart of my work. Over the decades, I continued studying the relationship between education, human development and the mind-body connection, including movement, breath and yoga therapy. I bring this depth of experience to every learner I meet.

I begin with the learner, not the learning challenge. With two MS degrees in Special Education and N–12 Education and more than five decades as an educator, I create personalized lessons around each person’s strengths, interests and way of learning. Subject matter becomes a pathway to confidence, curiosity, creativity and self-discovery. My background in mind-body education, movement, breath and yoga therapy adds another dimension to learning—supporting attention, presence and the conditions in which a person can learn and grow. My mantra is always: I Can See Your Bright Spots, Can YOU?
