About Bella
I am passionate about instilling confidence in my students. I believe it's important to recognise different learning styles and approach previous issues and knowledge gaps in a way that works for students. GCSE level (14-16) is what I’m best equipped to teach, key stage 3 tutoring (11-14) is also something I offer. I am keen on ensuring baseline knowledge before advancing to more complex topics, diagnosing gaps in knowledge is something to focus on. Starting lessons with key terms and approaching concepts with all background knowledge ensures proper depth of understanding. Lessons ideally last 1 hour but for longer periods of time, frequent check-ins using active recall is something I implement throughout the lesson. Passive learning through copying is never enough for long-term memory so engaging with activities and tailoring lesson plans to students' learning style is crucial in my teaching style.

Bella is one of the best tutors I have had, when I was I younger I originally was with explore learning so she had high standards to live up to. When I was 14 I struggled with my GCSEs I got a five in biology for my first y10 mock. I met Bella and she made learning fun and also very educational. Her approach to learning was very informative and stuck with me. I ended up shooting my grades up to getting a Grade 9 in biology. Thank you so much Bella!
