About Daniela

I am a passionate flute tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, having guided over 150 students on their musical journeys. My teaching philosophy centres on making learning engaging, personalised, and meaningful.

I help students master technical skills like breath control, tone quality, finger agility, and rhythm, while encouraging creativity, improvisation, and self-expression. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals and learning style, whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal enjoyment.

I also provide guidance in music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble playing, helping students develop confidence and versatility. My aim is to nurture not just proficient flutists, but expressive, confident, and inspired musicians who carry their love for music beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology is centred on creating an adaptive and motivating learning environment for every student. I carefully observe each learner’s style—whether visual, auditory, or hands-on—and customise lessons to suit their unique needs. This ensures that learning is effective, enjoyable, and sustainable.

Flexibility is key in my approach. I adjust lesson plans, exercises, and repertoire to match the student’s progress and musical interests, allowing them to grow at a comfortable but challenging pace. Collaboration is also an integral part of my teaching.

I encourage students to participate in duets, group activities, and performance simulations to develop confidence, timing, and ensemble skills. Positivity is woven into every session, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to explore, make mistakes, and celebrate their achievements.

In addition to flute techniques, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm exercises, providing a well-rounded musical foundation. My methodology balances technical skill with creative expression, nurturing confident and expressive musicians who develop a lifelong love for music.
