About Lauren
I am a 23-year-old Music graduate with a master's with distinction from the University of York. I play a variety of instruments and sing, and I have been playing flute for over ten years. I now work as a freelance musician and music tutor.

I take a very student-centred approach. If you're an absolute beginner, I can help you learn how to read music, how to hold the flute and basic music theory. If you're more experienced, I'll help you to improve your tone, breath control, flexibility and become a better all-round musician!

Perfect! Lauren is very approachable and reassuring, quick to notice where I’m going wrong in technique and point out how to improve in a way that worked for me. There was a noticeable difference in my playing at the end if the first lesson.

Lauren is a passionate, skilled musician and an excellent tutor. She is creative, kind and patient. I have known and played music with Lauren for several years.
