About Emma

I offer inspiring, motivating and enjoyable lessons. I adapt each class and course of learning to your individual needs to ensure that you fulfil your unique musical aspirations!

I teach both the Piano and Flute and am an experienced Musician and Qualified Teacher (PGCE) with many years' experience of teaching both children and adults.

I have enjoyed playing the Piano and Flute for many years. I've explored different styles of music and have played with interesting groups and orchestras. I love to share my knowledge with others so that as many people as possible can experience the joyfulness of music! I really love guiding students on their unique musical journeys and I always receive encouraging and heartwarming feedback from my students.

I teach in-person and online.

What my students say:

“When Emma first met our daughter in 2019 she immediately put her at ease and soon established a rapport with her. In no time, Emma had taken our daughter's very basic note-bashing ability to a point where they were playing duets together. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a flute teacher with lots of patience and an ability to really motivate a child”.
Richard

“Emma is an enthusiastic and engaging teacher with oodles of patience. She has been amazing teaching flute to my six year old son. I highly recommend Emma as a music teacher”.

Ramya

"Emma is a wonderful teacher! She creates a lovely atmosphere at class where piano playing becomes fun, creative and rewarding. I really loved that Emma always took my personality and my current interest into consideration when she chose a music piece for me and taught me music theory while playing so it was not boring or heavy going! I would always recommend Emma to everyone, you will love your piano classes with her".
Szandra

"Emma is a really lovely teacher. I highly recommend working with her. I've been learning Piano for six weeks now and I've progressed very quickly under her tutorship. I highly recommend working with Emma"
.
Jenny

“Emma is thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable and an excellent instructor. She knows how to motivate and how to correct without losing enthusiasm. A+!!”

Elisa
