About Karin

Hi, I’m Karin! I have a Master’s degree in French Translation and studied in Brussels, where living in a French-speaking city really helped me develop strong fluency and a natural feel for the language. I offer relaxed, supportive, and personalized lessons, always adapting my teaching style to suit each student. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and motivated while making real progress. I’m patient, well-prepared, and happy to explain things as many times as needed — learning should feel encouraging, not stressful.

About the lesson

I offer hands-on, fully tailored tutoring designed around each student’s goals, level, and learning style. My approach focuses on building real understanding and confidence, not just memorization. Teaching approach & methodology Lessons are practical and interactive. I start by identifying the student’s strengths, gaps, and objectives, then adapt each session accordingly. I break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and use examples, guided practice, and questioning to ensure understanding. Students are encouraged to actively engage, ask questions, and apply what they learn during the lesson, not just listen. Lesson structure & length Typical lessons last 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Each lesson includes a brief recap, focused teaching on key areas, hands-on practice, and clear next steps or optional follow-up work. Qualifications & experience I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring and tailoring sessions to suit different abilities and learning styles. My focus is on clear communication, patience, and helping students make steady, measurable progress. Who the lessons are for Lessons are suitable for students at all levels up to Leaving Cert, as well as 3rd level students and adults who would like to brush up their French skills, adapting the pace and style to suit each learner’s age, experience, and goals.
