I'm an historian of Modern Europe, with a particular interest in France and Russia in the early 20th century. My research focuses on gender, the experiences of women, and urban life. I also have a background in classical music, and have played the bassoon for nearly twenty years!

Bonjour! I'm a fluent French-speaker, currently living in Paris, here to help you improve your French. Having studied French as a second language, I'm familiar with all the tricky grammatical corners, and can help you understand the many verb tenses, the passive voice, or the subjunctive! I have seven years of experience as a tutor, working with students in small groups, pairs, and one-on-one. Standard lessons are 50 minutes in length and will be discussion-based. We will also work with vernacular French media, like songs, film clips, and news broadcasts, to ensure your French sounds up-to-date and natural!
