About Lucy
I’m lucky enough to have lived and worked in the South West of France for 12 years. I visit France often, still having many friends there, and time spent there brings me much joy. I love the French culture and learnt that any effort I made to learn the language and culture of France was repaid by the warmth and welcome I received. I also learnt that learning a new language takes some effort and commitment, sadly it doesn’t happen by osmosis! I look forward to sharing my love of the French language with you and enabling you to spend time in France without feeling like a fish out of water.

I will adapt each lesson to suit the knowledge and ability of my students. I present each lesson in an interesting and fun way to extend your knowledge of the French language and culture, with your goals being the framework that I work within. The emphasis will be on conversation but with the rules of French grammar explained. I will set homework for my students to encourage progress. Most of the lesson will be student talk time, based on your activities and life, to allow for more spontaneous conversation. What better way to relax and enjoy learning French!
