1. Understand that Chinese uses Pinyin and four tones.
2. Master core vowels: a, o, e, i, u, ü.

- Nǐ hǎo (Hello)
- Nǐ hǎo ma? (How are you?)
- Wǒ hěn hǎo (I’m fine)
4. Have basic tone awareness and correct simple pronunciation.

1. Warm-up & Lead-in (5 mins)
- Briefly introduce Chinese learning:
Chinese = characters + Pinyin
- Aim: lower anxiety, activate class

2. Pinyin Vowels + 4 Tones Basics (12 mins)
Vowel Teaching (6 mins)
Teacher models mouth shape + English similarity:
a / o / e / i / u / ü
Class repeats collectively + quick individual check

Four Tones Intro (6 mins)
- Tone 1: flat, high
- Tone 2: rising (question voice)
- Tone 3: fall and rise
- Tone 4: sharp falling
Students learn hand gestures + drill single vowels with tones.

3. Core Sentence Teaching (15 mins)
Teach only 3 essential sentences (zero overload)
1. Nǐ hǎo = Hello
2. Nǐ hǎo ma? = How are you?
3. Wǒ hěn hǎo = I’m very good

4. Interactive Practice & Pair Dialogue (10 mins)
A: Nǐ hǎo!
