About Mengjie

I am a Chinese New Zealander. I have lived in New Plymouth since 2006. My interests are reading, sports, and music. I have raised three boys in my family; they all have different language skills. My husband is a European New Zealander who is fluent in Chinese. He has been working hard in learning Chinese from me.

About the lesson

I accept students of all ages and from all different Chinese language levels. I can teach them face to face or online. I have teaching materials for listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I will try to make it fun, and I appreciate students who are keen to learn.

Perfect! The time I've spent with Mengjie has been really enjoyable. She is well prepared, thorough and with a good sense of humour. She has also explained the new words in a way which makes sense and they will therefore be easier to remember.

Mengjie's response
Great student, has some foundation in Chinese already. Working hard and very keen to learn. Conscientious and genuine. It's my privilege to have Sonya as my Chinese student. Thank you.
