I use a direct method as well as a task-based approach planning my lessons around topics considered useful for students. I either start with a video. Everyone loves a good video even kids or I start with an object its another method I use to get my students wondering about a topic and show them objects relating to the content. Sometimes I start with a question or a movement or a mistake, whatever it takes to get positive student interaction.
