I have been a teacher for 7 years and have taught students pre- k through 8th grade in the classroom, in small groups and on an individual basis. I have a Master's in reading education and am a Florida certified teacher.

I like my lessons to have a variety of activities to keep students engaged and to allow them to practice their skills in different ways. I believe in lots of encouragement but also lots of opportunities for independence to grow their own beliefs in their abilities. For in person lessons I like to use a lot of hands on activities. I will get to know students and make the lesson what they need academically as well as tie in things they are interested in and how they like to learn.
