About Jennifer
I am a graduate of the University of Glasgow, with a first class honours in Maths/Music. I loved the way this degree stretches my creative and problem-solving skills simultaneously. I went on to study a Masters in Music Industries in which I achieved a distinction. I have been a music and piano tutor since 2016. I am a piano tutor for children aged 6-16 at a community music school. I applied to 3 universities and received unconditional offers from all of them. However, the University of Glasgow stood out to me for a long time as my favourite, due to the city culture and beauty of the west end. Glasgow is close to the highlands, so I joined the Mountaineering Club, who go to the highlands every second weekend to walk, ski and climb.

I aim to help my student gain a better understanding of Music Theory. I hope that in doing so, it will optimise your time with your instrumental tutor, allowing you to progress well. I want to help you over the obstacle of achieving Grade 5 before sitting more ABRSM grades.
Lesson can focus on support with certain challenging aspects of Music Theory, or be targeted towards achieving a certain ABRSM grade.
I have 4 years experience tutoring, and have been a piano tutor at a community music school for the past year. I achieved a distinction in my Grade 5 theory, and also sat all the previous graded theory exams.
