About Emily
Playing music feels like a conversation I have been refining for 13 years. Honestly, I sometimes forget that not everyone hears the rhythmic pulse of Cuban son in their daily life. My path started at Melbourne Uni, and today I guide teens, hobbyists, and grade exam candidates through the strings. I am a native Spanish speaker who balances serious flamenco study with the joy of folk music. Watching intermediate learners find their voice on the fretboard remains my greatest professional satisfaction. My teaching often includes anecdotes from my own musical upbringing to keep things grounded.
