About Zakk
I have an engineering degree, and have always been interested in the sciences. I seek the truth in things, and believe strongly in being clear and transparent about what we know and how well we know it.
In recent years I have developed an increasing interest in health and fitness.
I am especially interested in dispelling misinformation in these areas.
I believe there is a lot say about the state of our health in the West, and how our typical dietary and exercise advice often seems ineffective at improving our health outcomes.
I'm a qualified Fitness Instructor and Nutrition & Weight Management Advisor.

I present my group lessons via slideshows that include questions throughout. These are to get the class involved and for me to gauge everyone's current understanding of the topic at hand. The group works together in pairs or teams to answer the questions, and we discuss the answers to ensure everyone is comfortable with each topic before moving on.
For individual lessons, I will tailor the lesson material to the individual's goals.

Zakk is extremely knowledgeable with all of the subject matter and cares deeply about how his students progress. He also really enjoys what he does and his enthusiasm is infectious.
Zakk is genuinely passionate about fitness. He has an in-depth knowledge of sports science making him an excellent teacher.
Zakk has to be one of the best tutors I've used, I don't know what it is about his tuition but it just sticks, will go the extra mile for you every time (5*)
Zakk is very understanding, he explains everything very well. Unlike a lot of people he doesn't make you feel patronized. Is a good listener and cares a lot!
