About Taylor
Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am a junior in Cupertino High School, hoping to enrich young students through tutoring. In high school, I have completed the highest level of math, and do not currently take a math class, but I really enjoy the subject! I've had volunteer experiences at children's summer camps and museums pre-pandemic, and have also been a volunteer for digital tutoring organizations, where I tutored classes of up to 10 students. I have also been privately tutoring as a part-time job this past year, for elementary and middle school students! I enjoy working with students and seeing their improvements! Through volunteering at a summer camp with kids, I've learned that there is no single methodology for teaching. I have also been tutored by several teachers, and there are times when they assume I can learn something as fast as their other students, when in reality, I am a rather slow learner. I can either help a struggling student with their homework by pacing their lessons in a way that their teachers cannot pace for them, or advance a student by providing advanced lessons from what they have been learning in school.
