About Ben
I am an 18 year old student with a particular passion for Philosophy and Politics. I also love sport and play competitive tennis outside my studies. As a student, I have always operated under a balance between light-heartedness and hard work. This is what you can expect from me as a tutor - not too demeaning or serious (maybe even cracking some awful jokes when I can), but aware of the work that needs to be done to achieve the goals at hand!

I have plenty of experience tutoring a wide range of age groups, from 11+ to GCSE exams. I focus first on breaking complex content down into simpler and more accessible terms that teachers often do not use, before incorporating plenty of exam practice through the use of past papers in my lessons. I teach with the intent of mirroring the balance between content understanding and exam practice which helped me succeed in exams! Further, having just successfully completed A levels and the Oxbridge admissions process, I am able to offer similar services to A level students and those hoping to get help with their university application! For students in the latter category, I will focus on ironing out the personal statement, practising for any interviews/admissions tests and sharing what I believe makes successful students stand out. Typically, my lessons are 1 hour long, but this is adjustable and entirely dependent on your preference:)
