About Melody

I am currently in my first year of studying a Bachelor's science in Criminology and Policing , with a future career goal of working in policing. I’m passionate about advocating for others, working with children, and creating a positive impact in the community. As a tutor, I bring a friendly, intelligent, and patient approach to my teaching, believing that no question is ever a silly question.

Teaching English, one of my favourite subject, allows me to share my love for language and literature, which is reflected in my achievements—winning multiple poetry competitions, receiving high grades, and being placed in the top set during high school. My commitment to English and my passion for teaching are driven by my belief in the importance of equality and diversity. As a previous student union representative and a volunteer working with children from diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs, I strive to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to reach their goals, regardless of their starting point.

About the lesson

As a private tutor, my approach focuses on setting clear goals and creating a personalised plan to help you reach your academic targets. At the beginning of our sessions, we will establish specific objectives based on your current level and desired outcomes, whether that’s improving your grades, acing key concepts, or preparing for exams. At the end of each period, we’ll review your progress to assess the effectiveness of our tutoring sessions and identify any areas for improvement, making sure that we continually adapt our plan to meet your growing needs.

I also create tailored resources drawn from my own academic experiences, having received high grades in English and distinctions in terms of my report/essay writings , one of my favourite subjects. I bring both my passion and knowledge into our lessons, using my expertises to enhance your confidence and performance. Having earned a partial scholarship for an essay written piece and continuously received top marks for my writings, I am confident in my ability to provide you with the tools and guidance needed to succeed in English. I would also like to say that I am friendly and articulate.
