About Gracie
My name is Gracie. I am an avid reader and love English.
Not only am I currently doing my second module of University level English, but I am an enthusiast in the language itself.
Having received continous distinctions throughout high-school and in Matric. As well as now at a University level.
As a student, I am offering this service for a number of reasons ranging from improving my cv, brushing up on and maintaing my skills, enjoying teaching, and of course to help with my groceries each month!
Having been Head Girl at my school, Toastmaster repared speech champion, Studios Edge Debate competition best speaker and had many roles involving responsibility. You can rest assured that I will remain professional, punctual, available, capable and consistent.
I want to share my skills in this language with you, whether you are in grade 1 or matric!

My lessons will focus on teaching, depending on your level, how to approach questions, critically analyze texts and logically present an answer. I also specialize in public speaking preparation and debate as I have a substantial background in both.
From my lessons you can expect copious amounts of preperation for each lesson, customized to you or your child.
From practice poetry, exam questions, power points, lesson plans and more.
This will of course be adaptable to what will suit the student.
During high school, I was able to tutor peers and younger students (ieb syllabus but am comfortable with DOE).
This involvement has enhanced my experience with teaching at different levels, embracing different learning styles and using creative ideas to affectively transfer both knowledge and skill.
Furthermore, I am a particularly friendly and approachable person who will create a safe environment for you or your child to learn through engagement.

Details
The first free session will mainly be to establish your goals, your learning level, schedule and for you to get to know me a bit. Prices are negotiable, with conditions of course. Willing to do longer or shorter lessons to accommodate your attention span and lifestyle. Please note, more specialized and extensive programs may slightly increase prices.
