About Darby
I am Darby, a 19-year-old, first-year Bachelor of Engineering student at QUT with a strong interest in math, science, and problem-solving. I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts into simple steps to help students become more confident in their own abilities. As a university student, I understand that every student learns differently. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My primary goal is not to help students get the right answer, but to understand why the answer is correct. I am particularly suited to Years 7-10 Math and Science, however, I am available to assist senior students with relevant topics.

I provide personalized tutoring tailored to the student's level, learning style, and goals. Building a strong understanding of the fundamentals is always a key focus before jumping into more challenging problems. I am best suited for students around year 10, particularly in physics or mathematics, however, can also assist senior students with a range of topics. Lessons can be adapted to the student's needs, whether they need assistance in understanding difficult concepts, preparing for assessments, or just building confidence. Lessons are typically 60 minutes with the option to adjust the length depending on the student's needs.
