About Liyana
Hi! I'm Liyana, a first year dentistry student at KCL. I have a strong passion for teaching and have extensive experience mentoring and tutoring students from primary age up to GCSE level. As someone who achieved 10 grade 9s at GCSE and A*AA at A-level, I have a very effective study approach and resources which I share with my students. I make sure to focus not only on fully learning the content but also on applying exam techniques to various question types, as I find it’s often application of knowledge which students tend to struggle with.

Lessons are very flexible and personalised to cater to your learning style but adapted around a basic 3-step process: learn, practice, apply.
We will start by going through subject content for that topic area, then try example exam questions together where I will teach exam technique and finally, the student will apply the content and technique learned.
Typical length: 1-2 hours
Lessons provided for secondary school students aged 11-16, with a particular focus on GCSE level. A-level sessions also available for Biology and Chemistry.
