About Safiya
It must be scary to suddenly start cooperating with a person you aren't yet comfortable with. My previous tutoring and daycare jobs have helped my social skills and teaching ability. School can be stressful, so I won't put a workload on you and instead try to help you with work you may already have or start afresh. Whether it be Reading or Math, I can aid in your success or simply help you catch up so your grades aren't affected and you can feel more at ease. I look forward to tutoring you!

Hello, my name is Safiya. My tutoring hours are flexible and I will be sure to meet the needs of an individual child. My classes will be for any elementary - middle school children. A typical lesson plan includes an objective of what we are working towards. However, I plan to cater to the needs of the particular child and what they tend to struggle with the most, as this will help them prepare for the school year and target their week points. When reaching out to tell me about your child, I will know what types of problems or examples I can have with me in order to test them and reflect. I will not be giving them any homework of my own unless encouraged to so as to not overwhelm the child. I can give optional practice assignments. I have previous experience with tutoring jobs and internships, so my best foot will be put forth!
