About Declan
I am an experienced piano tutor with more than 9 years of teaching experience. I teach students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I am passionate about music and enjoy helping students learn and improve.
My teaching style is based on clarity, flexibility, and encouragement. I customise each lesson based on the student’s needs and pace. I ensure that students understand each concept clearly before moving forward.
I teach piano along with music theory, rhythm exercises, and ear training. These help students build strong musical knowledge and skills. I also include practical learning and song-based methods to keep lessons engaging.
My unique skill is breaking down difficult topics into simple steps. I help students build confidence, improve technique, and develop consistency. I also guide them in effective practice routines.
I aim to create a friendly and motivating environment. My goal is to make piano learning enjoyable and help students achieve their musical goals.

My teaching methodology focuses on confidence, creativity, and comprehensive musical development. I believe that learning piano should be a personalised, enjoyable, and inspiring experience. Through consistent communication, I understand each student’s goals, challenges, and learning style, allowing me to create lessons that are tailored, motivating, and effective.
Creativity is central to my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose original pieces, and explore a variety of musical genres. This nurtures their individuality and strengthens their connection to music. Flexibility allows lessons to be adapted to the student’s pace, level, and preferred learning style, ensuring that learning remains engaging and productive.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This holistic approach helps students develop technical proficiency, musical understanding, and expressive skills. My goal is to guide students towards becoming confident, creative, and lifelong musicians who enjoy the process of learning and performing music.
